A recorder is a woodwind musical instrument. It's more popular in western countries. Acually, in Taiwan, almost every elementery school will teach students to play recorder, but they use "plastic recorder", beacuase wooden recorder is more expensive.
Recorder is made in
different sizes, ofcourse it's in different vocal ranges. The sizes most commonly used is saprano, it's in a high key, but it's usually used first. I'll talk about recorders in different sizes, usually in a all recorder orchestra, we usually used 9 kinds of recorder, there are spranino, saprano, and the middle vocal is aulto, tenor, the deep vocal is bass, great bass in square, great bass in round shape, F bass, and the deeper one, C bass.
In the 17th century recorder is really useful, orchestra and vocal music's accompaniment. The English word "record" is to commic to memory, but it was not use in English refer to playing this music until 16th century it has a new meaning, when you say out the intrument "recorder" it means to "quietly playing" or "sing or render in a song".
I played recorder for five years, I love this instrument a lot, When I play it I'll feel happy. Of course everyone likes different things, but if you also likes music, you can try to play recorder too!
GO AND ENJOY YOUR MUSIC LFE!
